No school today, so we started the morning watching cartoons on mommy's bed. Daddy had left early to work already, and we decided to play!
Anna asked if we could go to a movie, which shocked me, since she hates the movies, and sits there covering her ears the entire time. Today she asked me to go to my computer and tell her "what's playing". Just the fact that she used that term made me smile! :)
Beauty and the Beast, 3D. Honestly, I've been dying to see it, but when I brought it up before she turned it down immediately, so I just let it go. Today she was in a different mood I guess! Emma is always good for a movie if she is promised popcorn.
We arrived, parked the car, and started going down the stairs. There were two ladies in front of us, one of which was taking her time going down the stairs, very carefully. When we all finally reached the bottom, Emma pipes up: "Mommy, that's an old lady!" They heard. I think I said "Oh, geez!" and felt myself turning bright red. The lady was quite nice and said "You're right, I'm old! That's true!" I apologized and moved on, trying not to make a big deal out of the situation.
We got popcorn, we watched the show, we had lots of fun! Anna only covered her ears when the Beast showed up on screen. Emma ate her popcorn and got tired of the 3D glasses half way through the show. We all loved the princess.
When it was time to go home, coats on, mess picked up, walked to the parking lot... and who was going up the stairs? The lady. The "old" lady. Emma looks up at me, points and says: "Hey mommy!..."
I covered her mouth. I don't know the rest of that sentence.
We had a great time! :)
