Let's Get Rocked!!!

Once upon a time there were two teenagers.  One was named Russ, the other, Vanessa.  They hadn't met yet, and had no clue that they had one awesome thing in common:  their love for Def Leppard!!!!  These two teens were very good kids, respected their parents, got good grades... your average nerdy kids to be honest....  But!  In the privacy of their headphones, with their Walkmans by their side, Def Leppard was playing, allowing us to at least in our minds, feel like rebellious rock stars!  Going to an actual concert at that time was known to be impossible, for lack of parent approval of these loud, big haired, tattooed, British  guys!
Guess what!  We made it to the concert anyway!!!! So what if we're twice as old as we were when we "rocked" to Def Leppard, we soon realized the songs were alive and well in our minds and hearts, and we were 15 again!  Ok, enough crap, the show was AWESOME!!!! Like my shirt?  I love it.
This is Heart.  They opened the show.  They were great!!!  We got to hear wonderful hits like Barracuda, Crazy on You, These Tears, Tell it Like it Is, What About Love?, How do I get you Alone... all awesome songs!
Oh, those crazy kids!
And then... here they are, LIVE!!!  Let's Get Rocked!!!!  Screamed my head off, Russ laughed his head off (at me), and we both sang along and jumped around!
Love Bites!!!!  Loved it!
Foolin'
ROCKET!  YEAH!!
Check it out.  Dude up on top with an awesome guitar solo!  They just don't make songs with awesome guitar solos anymore... sigh...
Happy, sweaty, and loving every minute. Best concert ever!!!
Check it out.  Rick Allen, the "Thunder God" himself!  Amazing.  It's true, the Def Leppard drummer only has one arm, but let me tell ya... you would never had known.  I love people who conquer their trials in spite of great difficulty.  Love Rick Allen!!!

Anyway, and the teenagers are now two old geezers who pretend to rock while dear people watch their two little girls.  And for 5 hours they were 15 again, and loved it!

Oh let's go, let's strike a light
We're gonna blow like dynamite
I don't care if it takes all night
Gonna set this town alight

What do you want? What do you want?
I want rock'n'roll, Allright!
Long live rock'n'roll

Rock of ages, rock of ages
Still rollin', keep a-rollin'
Rock of ages, rock of ages
Still rollin', rock'n'rollin'

Rock on, Super Sperrys!! Sounds like it was an AWESOME night out!! Must have been the weekend for throwbacks: Mr. Brown & I went to a Big Bad Voodoo Daddy concert, which was the band we fell in love to fifteen years ago. :)
