There's my First Grader! I couldn't believe this morning that my Anna would be gone from 8:30 am all the way to 3:30 pm. I'm still in shock. She picked out her outfit two weeks before school started. She woke up ready to take on this new challenge.
First Grade! All day school. This day seemed soooo far away, it gave me a big scare this morning. (insert sad violin song here). She's growing fast. She's so smart, and sweet, and sensitive. Now I'm sending her out into the big bad world all by herself (sad violin song volume rises).
Anna, I've been watching the clock all day wondering what you're up to, how you're feeling right now, what you're thinking. Hoping you remember that you are wonderful, that you are ready, and that you can do anything!
These two are my heart. They are my life. Best gift EVER!
Knowing Anna, I'll ask her how it went today and she'll just shrug her shoulders and tell me "I don't know, I don't remember..." and this first day will remain a mystery to me, until she feels like talking, at random times, like when we're getting in the car to go to the store. I'll wait patiently until you are ready to tell me all about it, Anna. Have a wonderful first day of your entire academic future!!! (Violins come to a dramatic close).
No drama here. Nope. Not me. :)
