"Colate" Confessions

"Colate" (pronounced in portuguese KO- LA -CHEE)is short for chocolate, which is enjoyed very much by all in our house. Today, about ten minutes after Vanessa had dressed Emma in a new outfit to go out for the day, Emma came back upstairs with her mouth and entire face covered in brown. Vanessa asked "What is that?". Emma answered, "colate". Vanessa and I were scratching our heads trying to figure out where Emma would have found it, since we thought everything was put away. So we decided to try asking Emma where she found it. Vanessa asked "Emma, where did you get that colate?". Emma paused for a second, looked a little hesitant, and then looked up a little shyly and pointed saying "...on my shirt!".
