Bad Day = Birthday Brownies

No, it isn't her birthday until May. Anna had her very first experience with a bad day. Nothing was going right, her day was really hard. It was just one of those mornings that stretched out into a bad afternoon. Even preschool didn't cheer her up. On our drive home from school Anna tells me she is having a bad day, "mommy, I NEED a birthday cake, pleeeeeaaase!" So we made birthday brownies instead. And we put all the candles we could find in the house on the cake. And we sang and took pictures. After all, it's never too early to teach a girl that chocolate is her best friend when things go bad.

After all that bad day birthday party fun, she just crashed. I love this picture! :)

Talking about crashing... Emma has come down with RSV. No fun at all. She can't breathe most of the time, this is the only way she'll sleep lately. Poor baby. So if we disappear for the next 14 days that is why. Too bad I can't give her any chocolate... :(

We miss this version of you, Emma baby!

Hooray for birthday brownies! Sounds like the perfect cure for a bad day. I hope Emma's feeling better now!
